Is It Worth the Watch?

2012’s warped comedy, Small Apartments, is about as delightfully weird as any movie I’ve ever seen.

Star Matt Lucas, from the brilliantly funny sketch-comedy series Little Britain, is the glue that holds the preposterous premise together and makes it believable and relatable. He plays an astonishingly eccentric, hairless man (wearing only tidy-whities, eating a diet consisting entirely of soda and pickles, obsessed with Switzerland) who mistakenly murders his landlord, then clumsily stages the death to look like a suicide and ineptly attempts a cover-up. Equally bizarre neighbors and an inspector trying to figure it all out build to an out-of-control farce that is hilarious, shocking and even a little touching, often all at once.

The fearless all-star supporting cast, including Billy Crystal, James Caan and Dolph Lundgren (who is, surprisingly, very funny), create unforgettably peculiar characters.

If you want to see an amazing original comedy, one that’s not very well known, this is your movie. 

Is It Worth The Watch? It’s as ingenious and funny a film as I’ve seen in quite a while. I really loved it and I think you will too.
